I really can't believe I'm about to blog this , and get the "worst- mom- of -the -year" award. I have never been so close to having a heart-attack in all my life!
In a matter of 45 seconds, I found my almost-two-year-old thinking he's a monkey. See the pictures, and replace the giant, over-stuffed gorilla with a fearless, curious, adventurous 23 month old. (This is from the bottom of the stairs looking up). AAAAAAAAAAKKKKKK!!! I was just running something down stairs and came back to get my little one (and his innocent, on-looking friend, Jack) to come down for some fun. When I approached the stairs, I saw Jack looking up and dashed up the stairs to carefully retrieve my little one from over the stair railing!!! I knew he was a climber, but this is a first...and a LAST. I don't even know how he gets these ideas in his little head. oh dear.

Oh my gosh!! How did he get OVER the railing and not come crashing down? yep...you gave birth to a monkey. Glad everything turned out good.
oh yeah, side note, he walked along the railing, starting at the landing, and walked all the way up to the top. He didn't climb over...I failed to mention that part.
That is really scary! Did you walk up the railing from the landing to put the "fake Ezra" there? Seems to me that others in your house may have done this before...not Ryan, not you, and not Emily....any gusses?
funny thing, they are not even THAT daring!
hopefully jack wasn't taking notes.
Nah...he's too chicken.
Oh my goodness Kelly! That is so scary! I know that feeling...like you can't move fast enough!
That is a nightmare! I am pitting out right now! Good thing you were there when you were.
I am glad he is o.k.
Happy Mother's Day, Kelly!
is it just not meant to be that we ever speak again?? I think it's your turn to call.
oh my goodness....so scary. i can't even imagine. i am so glad that he is okay. kids they can drive us crazy because of the things they do!!!
I think you're already a better mom than I am because I probably would have grabbed the camera and taken pictures whilst the kid was still ON the railing. Kudos for the "reenactment!"
Oh funny! I was so confused. It seriously took me 3.5 minutes to figure out that wasn't Ezra and that it really was a stuffed monkey. I thought you did grab the camera...what does that say about me? I get it now. How could you even think about grabbing a camera when your child is hanging from the banister. Heart attack!
